Rowan Blanchard/Sabrina Carpenter – Take on The World

One of our picks this week is Take on The World, the theme song for Girl Meets World which has just dropped, performed by the show’s stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter. Girl Meets World is a spin off from the hit 90‘s show Boy Meets World, and it’s been a while since we’ve heard a theme song that’s so unashamedly upbeat and fist pumping. Check it out below (although we should warn you, you’ll probably be humming it to yourself for the rest of the day):

Pia Mia – Mr President

Pia Mia is a young un who popped on the r ‘n’ b scene last year with her cover of Drake’s Hold On, We’re Going Home. In the video for Mr President, she’s definitely come armed with a catchy tune, distinctive looks and some serious hip hop dance moves. This video is a lot of fun; make sure that you listen to the end for the breakdown at the end which rivals anything put out by Ciara or Rihanna in terms of pure sexy choreography.

Porter Robinson – Sad Machine

This is the latest banger from Porter Robinson, a native from North Carolina who enjoyed enormous success with his single Language in 2012 at the tender age of 19. We love the use of a gossamer fine harp track and the simple hook, and the visuals are pretty cool too. Looking at the lyrics to the video, we just want to hold that sad machine’s hand!
